I buy a lot of my snacks, groceries, skin care and whatnot from iHerb and have been buying stuff off that web site for years. But this is the first time I’m doing a haul on this blog so I’m labeling it Haul #1 to keep things organised 🙂
For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, iHerb is a US-based online retailer that sells all sorts of stuff at wholesale prices. You might want to check out my review and shopping tips for iHerb over at this page too.
I made my order on 18 September 2014 and received the package on 23 September. That’s only 5 days, not bad considering I chose SingPost for delivery. Shipping was also free of charge since they’re running some sort of offer right now for purchases over $60.
Here are some of the stuff I bought:
I got the high-definition powder, mineral infused face primer in green, and a cream eyeliner in coffee. The powder and face primer are USD6 (around SGD7.50) each and the eyeliner is only USD3 (around SGD3.75). Super cheap right?! iHerb currently carries over 650 E.L.F. cosmetics products and all at such friendly prices. If you get E.L.F. stuff from blogshops or Qoo10 Singapore, they’re marked up to around 2 times the price and that’s before any additional shipping charge.
Meyenberg Goat Milk Powder
If you’re lactose-intolerant but still love dairy milk, goat’s milk is a good alternative to cow’s milk since it’s easier to digest. I know fresh goat milk is available in Singapore, but I don’t drive and nobody’s at home to wait for the goat milk delivery so I get mine in powdered form. This Meyenberg Goat Milk powder cost $12.80 (~SGD16) for a 340g bottle. Goat milk powder bought locally is at least SGD25+ for a similar size bottle.
Jarrow’s Whey Protein and Quest Protein Bars
This isn’t for me but I’ve tried the protein bars and they taste really good (they sound really good too, chocolate cookie dough, peanut butter cups, white chocolate raspberry…). The Jarrow’s Formula Whey Protein cost $26.86 (~SGD33.60) for a 908g bottle and the Quest Bars cost $26.78 (~SGD33.50)for a box of twelve. Not sure about the bars but the whey protein is at least 2 to 3 times cheaper than SG prices. If you regularly buy these products, you can check out iHerb’s huge selection of protein products here and see how much you save by buying from them as opposed to local retail.
